Without comparing her past with the present, he walked down the memory lane with child-like enthusiasm & positively. Having grown under her guru & ace filmmaker Bhalji Pendharkar in Kolhapur, the young Sulochana understood early what it took to make a nice film. The veteran actress, who was conferred with the lifetime achievement award at the Seventh International Film Festival, relived her career spanning over seven decades at a press conference on Friday. "My guru was particular about rehearsing before shooting a film. Each member of the film, right from the actors to the technical crew, would be present for these sessions. It was a concentrated, collaborative effort to which each person contributed equally," he recalls.
