Mumaith Khan in Punami Naagu

Mumaith's family hailed from Pakistan but moved to India where they settled in the outskirts of Mumbai. Her father is an Indian (Tamil Nadu) and her mother is a Pakistani. She has four sisters and to support her family, she joined a small dance troop for Rupees 1500/- per month. Her sister Zobyn Khan also entered the film industry and has done some cameo appearances in Telugu films Mumaith got the opportunity to play an item song in the Hindi movie Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. and came into the lime light. After that, she became very busy in Bollywood as well as Tollywood and lately Kollywood. She gained more popularity with the item song in the Telugu film Pokiri. In the Tamil film Pokkiri which was a remake of Telugu film of the same name, she also danced in an item song. In Dr. Rajasekhar's film Evadaithe Nakenti, she played a police officer's role named F.Myssama. She has acted as a heroine in the film Bhookailas with Venu Madhav as the hero. She is known for her voluptuous physique and body piercings. She was recently in the news for attempting in real life Sharon Stone's leg crossover scene from Basic Instinct.

The first schedule of movie Punnami Nagu, directed by A Kodandarami Reddy, presented by G Maheswara Reddy (Sai Reddy) and produced by G Vijayakumar Goud under Sound and Claps banner with Mumaith Khan and Rajiv Kanakala in the lead, was completed recently.
Director said, "We canned a song on Mumaith Khan, choreographed by Ashokraj, besides shooting two fights and some talkie part with Rajiv Kanakala and other lead artistes from June 2 to 14. Our film will have sentiment and humour with action in its backdrop. The audiences can watch an all-new Mumaith Khan in our film."
The producer said, "The second schedule will begin from July 1. We will wrap up the shooting with the third schedule that will start in August. The story, penned by Yandamuri Virendranath, and the music, scored by S.A. Rajkumar, will remain highlights of the movie.
Director says, 'Yandamuri Virendranath gave the story for the film while the film has all kinds of elements that could attract mass audiences. We are trying to project Mumait Khan in a novel angle.'
Orni, Lochan, Vinodkumar, Madhu, MS Narayana, Srinivasa Reddy, 'Allari' Suhasini and others are in the cast, while Nalini is playing the role of a sorceress.
